Car ConnectThese terms apply in addition to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.
By downloading or using the iOS app Car Connect: Play Auto Sync (“the app”) you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. The app
The app provides a landscape driving panel on your iPhone, widgets for the Home Screen and (on iOS 26 or later, in supported cars) the CarPlay dashboard, connection sounds, internet radio, a GPS speedometer with drive score, and trip recording.
What it does not do: it does not add CarPlay to a car, does not mirror your iPhone to the car display and does not change sounds that iOS plays. Whether CarPlay connects is decided by iOS and your car's head unit. Use the free compatibility check in the app before subscribing.
2. Drive safely
Always obey traffic laws and keep your attention on the road. Set up widgets, routes and radio before you drive. Speed, distance and drive-score values are estimates from GPS and must not be relied on instead of your vehicle's instruments.
3. Subscriptions
Some features require Premium, offered as an auto-renewable subscription with a weekly or yearly plan. The price and length of each plan, and any free trial, are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal charge: your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price shown in the app.
- Free trials: if offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings: Settings › Your name › Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restore previous purchases on a new device with Restore purchases in the app.
4. Content you add
Photos, sounds and text you add stay on your device (and in your private cloud backup for trips and routes if enabled). You confirm you have the right to use them.
5. Third-party services
Weather and air quality come from Open-Meteo.com; internet radio stations come from radio-browser.info and are streamed from the stations' own servers. Navigation and music hand-offs open apps of other providers under their own terms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or availability.
6. Trademarks
The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.; CarPlay is a trademark of Apple Inc. Car brand and club names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify your choice.
7. Liability
The app is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect damages or for loss resulting from use of the app while driving. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
